SINGAPORE - An video showing workers assisting police and paramedics during the Little India riot on Sunday has garnered interest online.
In the video, an ambulance can be seen parked beside a burning police vehicle. A rowdy crowd had gathered to watch and some of the people were pointing at the ambulance.
Five men then ran toward the ambulance to open its doors and gestured for the people inside to come out.
Police officers and paramedics who were taking cover inside then emerged from the vehicle, and were allowed to run away from the chaotic scene.
Other rioters who saw this started to throw objects at the officers, jeering loudly at them as they fled.
