'Ya, saya kagum Khomeini, tapi bukan Syiah'......
Timbalan Presiden PAS Mohamad Sabu mengakui kagum dengan kepimpinan bapa revolusi Iran Ayatullah Khomeini serta pemimpin Lubnan Hassan Nasrallah.
Bagaimanapun beliau tetap menafikan mengikuti fahaman Syiah.

Mat Sabu: I'm a Khomeini admirer, not a Shiite...
The list of 10 things given by the Home Ministry allegedly "proving" that PAS number two Mohamad Sabu is a Shiite adherent is not enough to the accused.
In an immediate reaction, the politician better known as Mat Sabu stood firm on his earlier denial.
"About the allegation that I was impressed with Khomeini, I say thanks. I am an admirer of his leadership because he is a leader who brought Muslims to stand on their own," he said.
"I am also an admirer of Hassan Nasrullah (Lebanese Shiite leader)," he added.
He added he will make a further statement after meeting with his lawyer this Sunday.
Mat Sabu's unflappable response was matched by former education deputy minister Saifuddin Abdullah (right).
Apparently ridiculing the ministry's "evidence", the now chief executive officer of the government initiative Global Movement of Moderates, said that he, too, is a Khomeini admirer.
"I admire (South African leader Nelson) Mandela, (Cuban communist fighter) Che Guevera, (Indian independence activist) Ghandi and (Indian nun) Mother Theresa.
"Does that make me a Christian, Communist and Hindu? I too admire Khomeini. Am I a Shiite?" he asked on Twitter.- malaysiakini

Home Ministry: Mat Sabu made Shiite invocation...
PAS deputy president Mohammad Sabu made a Shiite invocation during a ceramah in Arau, Perlis, in 2005, the Home Ministry said today.
At a press conference to provide "evidence" of Mat Sabu's involvement in Shiism, ministry secretary-general Abdul Rahim Mohamad Radzi said the information was from an interview conducted by the ministry with Kedah Fatwa Council member Abdul Aziz Hanafi.
Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announced on Dec 9 that the authorities possessed evidence, including "pictures", to prove that the "PAS number two" follows Shiite teachings.
Rahim also listed nine other reasons to "prove" that Mat Sabu has strong connections with Shiism, one of which was "strong sympathies with Iranian revolution leader Khomeini (right), who was a prominent Shiite proponent in the Middle East.
The secretary-general refused to take questions from journalists during the press conference and merely read out from a prepared statement.
"All these facts clearly prove that he (Mat Sabu) has connections with the faith and activities of Shiites," Rahim said in concluding his five-page statement.
Ministry quotes blog writer
The ministry also quoted the writer of a blog called ‘dukeofumno’ with a certain Abdul Rahim from Pendang, Kedah claiming to have personally witnessed Mat Sabu performing his prayers using a small flat stone, a practice synonymous with Shiites.
Apart from that, the ministry also referred to an interview conducted by portal Antara Pos with Jati deputy president Aidit Ghazali, in which the latter claimed Mat Sabu to be a “Shiite icon”.
“Meanwhile, statements from his friends who have been in the same political struggle with him also admits that he has connections with Shiism,” Abdul Rahim said.
He said that Mat Sabu had “urged” Malaysian Muslims to follow the example of the thinking and leadership qualities of Khomeini, “which is clearly based on Shiism”.
However, Abdul Rahim did not specify any action to be taken against Mat Sabu, merely saying that the ministry will cooperate with the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) and also the police to “monitor the situation” and to “stop the spread of Shiism”.
In an immediate reaction, Mat Sabu stood firm on his denial of being a Shiite.
“About the allegation that I was impressed with Khomeini, I say thanks. I am an admirer of his leadership because he is a leader who brought Muslims to stand on their own,” he said.

Onyourtoes - Talking about hearsay and depending on portals and blogs, what more could be clearly demonstrated here for all to see. Seriously I feel sorry for this country. Look, secretary general, you don’t have to do it. If the Minister wants it, let him do it. You are a PTD, the Mandarins of Malaysia. You are not supposed to be a nincompoop to be pushed around. Why are you doing this to degrade yourself, your service and your family?
mushiro - Zahid and the Sec General are acting like 10years old. They accuse but dare not take any questions from news men. Muslims generally sympathize with Khomeni and Saddam Hussein but that does not mean we follow their faith. When a Muslim proclaims the Shahadah and says that he is a Sunni Muslim, has he to further prove this.
CiViC - Mr Home Minister, the National Fatwa Council gazetted Shiite Muslims as illegal. It doesn't say it's illegal to be "connected" in any way as long as teaching, preaching or adopting is not involved. Knowing or being connected to a criminal does not make one the same criminal.
chiew eng ng - Hello if I like Mao Tze tong can you say that I am a communist? If I like a girl can you say that she is my girlfriend? Come on lah be more matured.......dont just see a girls leg you got yrself steam and behave like sex maniac......
balachan cili - Oh no! I have a picture taken with fat mama FLOM, will I be accused of getting involved with her and having a close tie.I am so scare ! ! !
UMNO's logic - Mahathir and Muhyiddin was at Iran President's inauguration, so they are Shiite too...
Otak penjilat2 bontot UMNO dan cara fikiran depa tak ubah macam bos depa tuduh Mat Sabu pengamal Syiah...
cheers.
