Friendship and loyalty, the only reasons for return to Umno, says Bukit Besi rep

The Bukit Besi assemblyman who retracted his quit decision from Umno today said he had done it out of his own free will and not because of incentives or a payoff from the party’s leadership.
Roslee Daud (pic) lamented that when he quit the party on Monday, people said he did it because of a kickback.
"When I retracted the decision, people said I had been paid off. There is nothing, no such thing," he told reporters today when met at the Prime Minister's Office in Putrajaya.
Roslee said his decision had been made out of the spirit of friendship and loyalty with Umno.
"This is the decision which I have made, out of the spirit of loyalty and to continue my struggle with the party."
"Umno did not persuade me to stay. I made this decision on my own," Roslee said.
Early yesterday, Roslee had announced his decision to exit the party along with former Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said and Ajil state assemblyman Ghazali Taib.
However, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim announced last night that Roslee had retracted his decision to exit the party.
Roslee said confusion brought about his quit decision.
"I was confused, that was how so many things happened," Roslee said, adding he had followed his heart after his friends Ahmad and Ghazali quit.
"I will meet with Ahmad later to discuss and explain my reason for going back to Umno," Roslee said.
He also apologised to all his supporters and the public for the chaos which he was partially responsible for yesterday.
"The issue has been resolved, I will return to Umno and continue to fight for the country, religion and race,” he declared.
