Traders told to stop selling Cadbury chocs till Wednesday

They will have to wait till an analysis by the Chemistry Department of the two products are obtained on Wednesday.
hasan malekKUALA LUMPUR: All traders are told to stop selling the two Cadbury products found to have porcine DNA until an analysis by the Chemistry Department of the two products are obtained this coming Wednesday.
Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Hasan Malek said action would be taken against any trader found still selling the products.
“I am taking this matter seriously, and if any traders fail to comply, we will act against them under the Trade Description Act 2011, which carries a fine of up to RM1 million, whether they are retailers, distributors or manufacturers.”
Hasan  said this to reporters after attending a dinner function organised by Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad (Angkasa) today.
Earlier, the Health Ministry had detected two samples of Cadbury chocolates, the Milk Chocolate with Hazelnuts and the Milk Chocolate with Almonds, which contain porcine DNA.
The porcine DNA in the milk chocolate with hazelnuts were in the batch numbered NO200813M01H I2, with the expiry date of Nov 13, 2014 and the milk chocolate with almonds with batch number 221013N01R I1 with the expiry date of Jan 15, 2015.
Hasan Malek said the ministry had monitored 175 premises in the country and found that traders were no longer selling the two types of chocolates.
“Our checks showed positive results with all the premises including those in the duty-free zones, supermarkets and airports not selling the chocolates any more,” he said.
