Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud today said she possessed photographs of Pasir Salak MP Datuk Tajuddin Abdul Rahman entering the polling centre at Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampung Bahagia.
"We have the pictures and the security guard at the school can also bear witness.
"The Pasir Salak MP in full BN uniform was seen entering the premises," Dyana said, adding that it was hard to miss Tajuddin when he was clad in full BN attire.
It is an offence to wear anything bearing a party symbol or to carry any form of party paraphernalia within 50 metres of the polling centre on the day of an election.
Tajuddin’s actions heightened tensions between BN and Pakatan Rakyat (PR) supporters, prompting provocative exchanges from both sides, despite police presence.
When met by The Malaysian Insider, Tajuddin said he had gone to the polling centre to use the toilet after five hours with the BN team.
"This is defamation. I was escorted by someone to the polling centre as I needed to use the toilet. Do you expect me to take off my clothes before entering?" he said.
Asked about the provocative statements being exchanged, Tajuddin said this was extraordinary.
"It was not like this in the past, but it has become the norm every time there is a by-election now."
As of 3pm, a total of 34,974 voters or 58.36% have come out to vote.
The situation was also calm and peaceful as PR supporters did not react despite being provoked.
