Isma: Dyana is DAP’s bait for Malay votes

Isma claims that DAP's decision to field Dyana Sofya is an attempt to 'bait immature Malays' into voting for the party.

PETALING JAYA: DAP’s decision to field Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud for the Teluk Intan by-election was a cheap trick to fool the Malays, said Ikatan Muslimin Malaysia (Isma).

In a blog post today, Isma vice president Abdul Rahman Mat Dali said that DAP was merely attempting to portray itself as a Malay friendly party but in reality it was not.

“Dyana is a bait to lure immature Malays into voting for DAP. Those who can see the big picture will never vote for the party.

“Think about it. Of all the Chinese in DAP, why did they choose Dyana? Is it because she is so capable? It is the party’s trick to fool the Malays,” he said.

Come May 31, Dyana would be engaged in a straight fight with Gerakan president Mah Siew Keong for the Teluk Intan by-election.

The seat fell vacant after the former MP Seah Leong Peng, 48, passed away due to cancer on May 1.

Abdul Rahman said that the Malays must remember that DAP is a party that champions socialism, which runs contrary to Islamic teachings.

He also said that ideology such as socialism, communism, secularism, liberalism, democracy and humanism were all products of a Jewish conspiracy to undermine Islam.

“And DAP’s main agenda is to introduce equality for all Malaysians which will destroy the Malays’ special privileges,” said Abdul Rahman.
