THEY ALREADY DO! 'Will Chinese share wealth with Malays?' - Isma

When DAP's battle for Chinese interests continues to gain traction, it is strange that Ikatan Muslimin Malaysia (Isma) is deemed as a racist and extremist movement for championing the cause of Malays?

Isma supporter Nafidz Razak posed this question in a letter published in the movement's portal today.

Commenting on the Chinese being a minority race in Malaysia and the calls for equality, he asked: "Who is the real minority in economic terms?"

"Who is the real minority in property ownership? And who is the real minority in terms of (economic) success?" he added.

Nafidz also questioned if the Chinese were prepared to share their economic control with the Malays, and to eliminate the financial gap between the two races.

"If they ask for equality in things which they do not possess but don’t wish to share the things in which they have succeeded, then what form of justice are they advocating?" he added.

What is more disheartening, Nafidz said, was that some Malays supported this Chinese struggle.

"And when the Malays rise to defend (their rights), not even asking for something new, these Malays don't help their own and allow themselves to be intruded by the Chinese," he added.

However, Nafidz clarified that he was not fanning racial tensions but merely attempting to make the Malays realise that they have been too tolerant, even when robbed of their rights.

"Rise and realise that we are great Muslims... Let us start by showing concern," he said.

Nafidz’s letter was in response to the controversy which erupted after Isma president Abdullah Zaik Abdul Rahman termed the Chinese in Malaysia as "intruders".

After coming under attack, Isma has been publishing letters and articles in support of its leader on its website.
