The Kuala Lumpur High Court has decided three years ago that there was no need for PAS Unit Amal to register with the Registrar of Societies (RoS), a party leader said today in response to a warning from the Home Minister of a possible police crackdown.
PAS Youth legal and human rights director Noorazmir Zakaria said the issue could have been raised again by Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi due to political interests.
"Three years ago, I personally handled the case in connection with a Abolish the ISA movement where several Unit Amal members were charged in court."
