A World Bank economist predicts the government may resort to tabling a RM5.2 billion supplementary budget even though it announced a RM5.5 billion budget cut in its operating expenditure on January 20.
Frederico Gil Sander, a senior economist of the World Bank, reasoned this because he noticed RM5.2 billion in “new spending” in the figures when the Prime Minister Abdul Abdul Razak announced the revised 2015 budget.
