Johor speaker's son alleges plot against MB

The son of Johor state assembly speaker Mohamad Aziz has claimed that there is a plot to topple current menteri besar Khaled Nordin.
In a Facebook post, Shukur Mohamad alleged that the person behind the move is a deputy minister.
"There is a movement by a deputy minister to cut down Khaled.
"The movement will apparently install this deputy minister as the new menteri besar on behalf (Prime Minister) Najib (Abdul) Razak to monitor and control Johor Umno," he wrote.
Apart from this, he also claimed there is another plot, involving a large sum of money, to remove Muhyiddin Yassin as Pagoh Umno division chairperson.
He told Malaysiakini that the conspirators aim to tarnish Khaled's image for allegedly failing to unite Umno members in the state.
"But the Johor menteri besar now is open minded and not a yes man who follows orders without thinking. I won't allow anyone to touch him.
"My Facebook writing will be a series. I will write more about the deputy minister.
"Johor Umno is not the same as the rest of Umno. we like to be polite. Even in anger we laugh. We don't like central Umno to disturb our peace," he said.
Asked about support for the deputy minister in Pagoh, Shukor said only four branches are with him.
"The rest have rejected (his offer)," he added.
There are currently six deputy ministers from Johor - Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Razali Ibrahim, Deputy International Trade and Industry Ministers Ahmad Maslan and Hamim Samuri, Deputy Transport Minister Aziz Kaprawi, Deputy Home Minister Nur Jazlan Mohamed, and Deputy Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Halimah Saddique.
Malaysiakini is attempting to contact Pagoh Umno deputy chief Ismail Mohamed for further comment. -Mkini
