Selayang MP William Leong found it perplexing that a break-in at his office in Selayang Jaya on Monday only saw the theft of his constituency's letterhead and a camera.
Leong said all the letterheads are gone and expressed his concern that it could be abused.
“They did not take my laptop or the loud hailer which I used that same night. They only took all my letterheads, my camera and Jom Shopping vouchers. The vouchers cannot be used unless they are signed by me.
“I suspect the thief or thieves broke in to find something, as they ransacked the whole place but did not take any other valuable things,” he said.
Leong is a second-term MP and was previously the PKR treasurer. The Selayang constituency office was opened in 2008.
He hoped that people will be careful if they come across documents finding with his constituency letterhead.
“I am worried they may misuse my letterhead,” said Leong, who is also a lawyer.
The perpetrators are believed to have broken through the front door.
The theft came a day before PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli's arrest outside Parliament following police investigations under the Official Secrets Act 1972. -Mkini
