Quit now, Zuraida tells ‘Umno lackey’ Adenan

PBB president lacks courage to solve land grab problems and scandals involving Taib, says PKR Wanita leader.

PETALING JAYA: Sarawak Chief Minister Adenan Satem was challenged today to resign for already allowing an Umno presence in the state.

PKR Wanita chief Zuraida Kamaruddin described Adenan, president of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu, as “just another Umno-BN lackey”. She challenged him to live up to his promise to resign if Umno entered Sarawak.

“Adenan Satem should resign already if he claims that Umno is not in Sarawak. Isn’t Adenan working under Najib Abdul Razak, the president of Umno?,” said Zuraida.

She said the PBB leader lacked the courage to solve problems such as land grab issues and scandals involving (former Sarawak chief minister) Abdul Taib Mahmud.

Zuraida also accused Adenan of engaging in a popularity stunt by barring opposition politicians from entering the state for the coming election campaign.

“If indeed Adenan Satem was serious about self-governing without interference from Peninsular Malaysia, he should also ban all BN politicians from entering Sarawak. Why the double standard?” she said.
