Police: Jong-nam's next of kin may arrive in Malaysia soon

Kim Jong-nam's next-of-kin may arrive in Malaysia over the next few days to assist in the identification of his body, deputy inspector-general of police Noor Rashid Ibrahim said.
According to New Straits Times, Noor Rashid said the relative could be someone who lives “not far away” from Malaysia.
"So far, no (family member has identified the body).
"I think, within this next one or two days, one of them will come forward. It may be a child or relative who is (living near Malaysia)," he told reporters in Johor.
Jong-nam's body has been at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital Forensic Department since his murder on Feb 13.

The half-brother of North Korean President Kim Jong-un is believed to have been poisoned, but the authorities have yet to determine the type of chemical used.
Meanwhile, Noor Rashid also responded to the criticism from Pyongyang.
"Any case that occurs in this country is subject to investigation by local authorities. Even if the case involves the death of a person holding a diplomatic passport, the investigation would be the same.
"It would be based on the country's laws and would take international regulations into consideration. There is no issue of violating regulations," he said.-Mkini
