Rafizi: Better for Harapan if PAS clings to exco

Pakatan Harapan stands to benefit should PAS continue participating in the Selangor cabinet, said PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli.
"What PAS excos is doing by remaining in the Selangor government will just prove further that (they are more concerned) about positions and rewards, rather than their struggle and principles," he said.
This would be clear for voters to see, Rafizi told a press conference in Subang Jaya today.
"I actually think it is good for the outcome of Putrajaya if PAS excos remains in Selangor
"The reason being is that fence sitters and Malay voters take time to measure up and evaluate political parties," he said.
He said this when asked whether Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali should sack all three PAS exco members, since PAS had chosen to break ties with PKR.
Rafizi believed that PAS will not suffer any ramifications from the fallout with PKR in the short term, their credibility would erode slowly as long as they are part of the Selangor cabinet.
"Every single day the three excos remain in government will mean that PAS loses more votes from fence sitters and Malay voters," he said.
Although PAS has broken ties with PKR and DAP, the three parties are still part of the Selangor cabinet.

Mohamed Azmin had met three exco members from PAS last Friday, although there are conflicting reports on what transpired.
Following this, Selangor BN had criticised their PAS counterparts for being dishonourable and opportunistic by remaining part of the state government.
This morning, newly appointed Selangor PAS commissioner Sallehen Mukhyi made it clear that they are not quitting in order to keep tabs on DAP and prevent them from committing mischief.- Mkini
