A by-election for the Pujut state seat in Sarawak will be held on July 4.
The Election Commission said nomination day will be on June 20.
The Pujut seat was vacated after DAP's Dr Ting Tiong Choon was disqualified as the state assemblyperson on May 12 for allegedly having Australian citizenship.
A motion seeking his disqualification was supported by 70 assembly persons in the 82-seat assembly. Ten representatives opposed it.
