Bersatu's Rais Yatim joins Umno, PAS at NGOs' Malay-Muslim rights rally

Leaders from Umno, PAS has joined over 300 Malay Muslims NGOs today gathered with over 1,000 supporters at a rally calling for the defence of their race and religion from various elements supposedly out to destroy their rights enshrined under the Federal Constitution.
This includes former minister Rais Yatim, who is now a member of Bersatu under Pakatan Harapan.
Other leaders seen in attendance are PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan, PAS information chief Nasruddin Hassan, PAS central committee member Nik Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz, Umno supreme council member Lokman Noor Adam and former Federal Territories Umno youth chief Razlan Rafii.
Rais even addressed the crowd gathered at the Sultan Sulaiman Club field in Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur, this morning.
The former socio-cultural advisor to the previous Barisan Nasional government, in a fiery speech, reiterated the recent calls against a proposal for the government to provide recognition of the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC).
"We can't have more than one system (of examinations) in Malaysia. Look at Singapore, look at Indonesia, look at India...all countries have only one system.
"So why are we pushing for two system of examination?" he questioned.
Since about 9am, various NGO leaders spoke against alleged threats against the Malays and Muslims, purportedly supported by the current Harapan government.
