One new cluster reported in Sabah

 

Follow up action and testing of contacts of confirmed cases is ongoing in the affected areas.

PETALING JAYA: The health ministry reported one new Covid-19 cluster today in Sabah.

The index case for the Jalan Sedco cluster, involving the Tawau district and Kalabakan, was reported on Dec 20.

Until Dec 24, 26 individuals had been tested and 14 of them were positive cases.

In a statement, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said till today, 484 clusters had been reported. Of that number, 271 clusters have ended.

This includes three clusters —Kerengge, Alila and Gemilang — that ended today.

“We have an increase in the number of cases in 45 clusters,” Noor Hisham said.

These clusters include the Tampoi Jaya cluster, which saw an increase of 78 cases, the Jalan Stadium construction site cluster (63) and the Beringin cluster (30). - FMT
