KUALA LUMPUR: Umno deputy president Mohamad Hasan has called for an end to threats and “dirty activities” to woo the support of MPs, in a thinly veiled swipe at PPBM.
Speaking at Umno’s annual general assembly at PWTC here today, Mohamad called for Malaysia’s political scene to be “repaired”.
“No more scenarios of using an emergency to remain in power. And no more immoral political chess games that bankrupt the value of our politics and democracy,” Mohamad, also known as Tok Mat, said when officiating the assembly of the party’s Wanita, Puteri and Youth wings.
“We need a ban on political crossings, not just border crossings. Because many have been jumping in this ‘hot’ season,” he added in jest.
