A former PKR Youth exco member has taken a swipe at the wing's deputy chief Syed Badli Shah Syed Osman for labelling former party deputy president Azmin Ali as the "most wicked politician of the century".
Saiful Bahari (above), who left PKR to join Pemuda Negara founded by former PKR Youth deputy chief Dr Afif Bahardin, said Syed Badli was a "fool".
"Why do I say he is a fool? Because of his statement towards Azmin and the other PKR leaders who left (the party).
"We can see in PKR, those who left were not ordinary branch or grassroots members, but those with positions won during the party election," the Johor Pemuda Negara Youth chief told Malaysiakini.
Citing the wave of departures from PKR leading up to the latest exit by Kuala Langat MP Dr Xavier Jayakumar, he claimed it was a sign of weakness in PKR, which is being ignored by Syed Badli.
"Do not blame Azmin... So I think his (Syed Badli's) statement is foolish.
"Even he himself lost in the party election, unlike me, but I still left PKR due to loss of faith," said Saiful, who is also a Bersatu Youth exco member.
Earlier today, Syed Badli said Azmin was not at all qualified to talk about morality and point fingers at PKR president Anwar Ibrahim over the issue of party hopping.
Without providing proof, he alleged that the senior minister was behind the selection of those elected representatives who ditched the party and helped trigger the fall of the Pakatan Harapan administration.
He was responding to a joint statement by Azmin and nine other former PKR MPs who said that many party members had rejected Anwar as PKR had lost track of its fight and idealism. - Mkini
