Asean with support from the Chinese government, has recently launched the Southeast Asia tourism Chinese website, an initiative under the 2025 Connectivity Master Plan, at the region’s tourism forum in Laos.
The dedicated platform, aimed at attracting Chinese visitors, offers pre-trip guides to help them plan their travel efficiently.
The Asean Secretariat in a statement stated that the goal of the website is to boost tourism, stimulate economic growth, and promote mutual understanding between Asean and China.
“The year 2024 is an opportune moment for the website as it coincides with the Asean-China Year of People-to-People Exchanges,” the secretariat said.
The website serves as a comprehensive guide to explore the 10 destinations in Southeast Asia, providing diverse travel information and product offerings covering all Asean-member states.
