KLUANG: Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) candidate for the Mahkota by-election insists the coalition’s component parties are fully behind his campaign.
Speaking to reporters while on the campaign trail here today, Haizan Jaafar said PAS is providing his by-election campaign with all the necessary support at the district, state and federal levels.
he said.Even Gerakan and the Malaysian Indian People’s Party (MIPP) are helping me in this by-election,
So rumours of a boycott from other parties within the coalition are not true.
Separately, Haizan mentioned that his wife, Rohimah Daud, 58, has been hospitalised for 16 days.
he said.Yes, she has been admitted to the hospital due to a blood infection, but she’s in stable condition,
I am strong because my wife told me to go for it (contest the by-election). She is my strength.
The Mahkota by-election will take place on Sept 28, with early voting set for Sept 24.
The unity government will be represented by Kluang Umno Youth chief Syed Hussien Syed Abdullah. - FMT
