KUALA LUMPUR: The business practices of Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings (GISBH) were influenced by their interpretation of Aurad Muhammadiyah, says the Inspector-General of Police.
Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said that followers exhibited an obsession (taksub) and idolised the company's leadership to the extent of distorting the true teachings of Islam.
"Our investigations revealed that adherents were indoctrinated to fully accept and believe in the lifestyle promoted by the company.
"This doctrine poses a significant risk to both national security and to the followers who are entirely dependent on their leaders for their welfare," he said today.
