RUSSIAN GENERAL STAFF PUTS IT IN WRITING - UKRAINE MILITARY WILL CEASE TO FUNCTION IN 90 DAYS

Yesterday Steve Witkoff the US special envoy to the world at large visited President Putin in Moscow. More important than what was not announced was the friendly and cordial meeting - plus the usual two hours or more that they spent together.

Obviously there are no irreconcilable differences between Mr Putin and President Trump otherwise Witkoff would not be meeting with Mr Putin almost every other month and for two or three hours at a time.

What is more relevant is that just before Witkoff arrived in Moscow the Russian General Staff  issued an unprecedented written document saying that they expect the Ukrainian military to completely collapse within 90 days. This is according to Colonel Douglas MacGregor. So by mid November they expect the Ukrainian military to capitulate.

The current Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces is General of the Army Valery Gerasimov. He also serves as the First Deputy Minister of Defence.

It is really unprecedented for any Army Chief to say such a thing in writing during wartime. The General must be quite certain of what he is saying.

But the mystery still remains why say such a thing?  It might hasten the exit of Zelenskiyy. It might also give a strong signal to the EU to step back.

When the Ukrainian military collapses Ukraine will still not surrender (unconditional surrender). Thereby forcing Russia to send their troops all over Ukraine to 'secure' the territory. Which the Russians will most likely do. In such event the British will likely get the French and Germans to scream that Russia will invade all of Europe, then the Balkans, the Middle East, India, China and Japan. Things will get hysterical.

Which is why I think Steve Witkoff was given a two hour audience by Putin.  I think both Mr Putin and Mr Trump are in close touch over what will happen in Ukraine and in Europe over the next few months.

Yesterday the Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Kumar Doval also travelled to Moscow to meet Mr Putin. Surprisingly the Indian Foreign Minister S Jayashankar  was not in the picture. The next meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Council is coming up again where Mr Putin, Chinese President Xi Xinping and the Indian PM will meet face to face.

India is also set to buy the Russian Sukhoi S57 stealth fighter which is turning out to be quite a formidable stealth aircraft.

The Chinese stock market is moving up.
