SEREMBAN: Several incidents of landslides and fallen trees were reported in the state, particularly in the districts of Port Dickson and Seremban, following continuous heavy rain since last night triggered by Tropical Storm Senyar.

In Seremban, a landslide occurred at Taman Bukit Berlian here, affecting two houses.

Operations Commander from the Ampangan Fire and Rescue Station Mohd Norazrul Fazri Ahmad said his team arrived at the location at 4.07am and found that the landslide had occurred behind the two houses.

"Upon arrival, our team instructed all occupants to evacuate their homes as a safety measure.

"All six victims had exited their respective houses and no injuries were reported. The area remains under close monitoring by the fire department," he said in a statement.

Meanwhile, a fallen tree incident was reported near a shopping centre in Seremban at 3am today, injuring a male motorcyclist.

Operations Commander from the Seremban 2 Fire and Rescue Station Mohd Sharizal Boahari said the 61-year-old victim was injured after his motorcycle collided with the fallen tree.

"At the time of the incident, the victim was believed to have been unable to avoid the tree before colliding with it. He was later sent to Hospital Tuanku Ja'afar for further treatment," he said.
