Malaysian man dies after being shot eight times in Golok home

PASIR MAS: A Malaysian man, Mohd Fuad Fahmie Ghazali, 33, died at 9pm after being shot eight times by an individual at his home in Golok, Thailand.

His mother, Zaiton Abdul Rahman, 64, said she was informed of the shooting around 8pm and received another call an hour later confirming her son's death.

"I was shocked to hear the news but accept God's will. My son's body will be brought home this afternoon," she said.

Earlier reports said the victim was seriously injured after being shot at the house in Suhang, Golok, Thailand, yesterday.

The incident occurred at around 6.40pm local time and is believed to have followed a heated argument between the victim and the suspect, who he knew.

The victim, who is believed to be from Pasir Mas, was earlier reported to be in stable condition at Suhang Hospital. - NST
