The National Heart Institute says the deputy prime minister is now in a general ward and completed 2.8km of cycling exercise a day after surgery.

The National Heart Institute (IJN) said in a statement that Fadillah completed 2.8km of cycling exercise yesterday under the supervision of its clinical team.
“We are pleased with the deputy prime minister’s progress. His treatment and recovery have proceeded according to plan, and his condition continues to improve as expected by the medical team,” said IJN CEO Dr Ezani Taib, who was part of the surgical team.
Fadillah, 64, was admitted to IJN on July 28 and underwent a coronary angiogram the next day.
Following a review by a multidisciplinary medical team, doctors determined that coronary artery bypass grafting was the most appropriate course of treatment. - FMT
