JOHOR BARU: Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) has launched an internal investigation into allegations of sexual harassment involving a medical specialist in the Department of Anaesthesiology.
The Johor Health Department, in a statement today, said the hospital management had established a special investigation committee to investigate the report, which was received on Aug 28.
It said the investigation followed a report by a portal alleging that certain parties had asked the complainant to withdraw the misconduct report concerning the sexual harassment allegations.
"The investigation is being completed before action is taken in accordance with the guidelines and procedures currently in place.
"The hospital will not tolerate any attempt to conceal, suppress, pressure or prevent any staff member from making a report concerning allegations of sexual harassment," the statement said.
The department said HSA remained committed to ensuring justice for all parties while upholding transparency and integrity throughout the investigation process. - FMT
