Kelantan PKR said it hopes Pakatan Harapan will give it 15 state seats in the coming general election.
Kelantan PKR chairperson Ab Aziz Ab Kadir said they hope to get more seats than their original five, after agreeing to give several parliamentary seats to Bersatu.
“Before this, Kelantan PKR had agreed to only contest in two parliamentary seats - Tanah Merah and Pasir Mas - and to give Ketereh, Machang and Tumpat to Bersatu.
“Therefore it is justified that every component party be given the room that it deserves (in the state).
“Furthermore, Kelantan has 45 state seats, so it is hoped the Harapan leadership will agree to this,” he said in a media statement in Kota Bharu today.
He added that PKR's candidates will come from good backgrounds and be well known by the people.
Harapan's seat negotiations for the eastern state and PAS' stronghold has yet to be concluded.
Amanah, comprising former PAS members, is expected to contest the bulk of the state's seats.- Mkini
