Malaysia is riding out the crisis and is doing better than many other countries, said Communications and Multimedia Minister Salleh Said Keruak.
He said the world is in crisis and Malaysia is a member of a global community where changing the government is not a simple solution to the crisis.
"Pakatan Harapan is telling Malaysians that Malaysia, too, is facing a political and economic crisis and that the only way out is to change the government or replace the prime minister," he said in his blog last night.
Citing the United States (US) and United Kingdom (UK), he said both are examples of western democracies, one a republic system of government and the other a Westminster-type constitutional monarchy, which are going through an economic and political crisis.
Salleh, who is also the Umno treasurer, said both governments are facing a crisis of confidence and are struggling to remain relevant.
Changing the government in US and UK did not end the crisis but in fact, it has gone worse.
"What happens in another part of the world affects Malaysia, which means it is not a simple solution of changing the governments or the prime ministers," he added.
