Zuraida: Saiful wants to pit opposition parties against one another

Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan's "endorsement" of Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali as the prime ministerial candidate is merely an attempt to pit opposition parties against one another, said PKR Wanita Chief Zuraida Kamaruddin today.
According to her, Saiful's suggestion cannot be bought as he is not a trustworthy person.
"A person who has lied about sodomy, I cannot accept his ideas. He (Saiful) merely wants to pit Azmin against (former opposition leader) Anwar (Ibrahim)," she told reporters at a function in Shah Alam.
Earlier today, Saiful, who accused Anwar of sodomising him - a charge which landed the latter in his current five-year prison stint - took to Facebook to pen that Azmin, who is also the PKR deputy president, is Pakatan Harapan's best candidate for the prime minister's post, as he was much younger than former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad, whose name has been touted for the post.
Anwar has claimed that the charge was fabricated by his political rivals.

Saiful (photo) said that Azmin was full of fresh ideas, is energetic and does not dabble in the politics of old.
He added that Azmin was the "director" behind the administration of PKR and Anwar was the "actor".
Commenting further, Zuraida said that as the 14th general election approaches, there would be more attempts to pit opposition parties against one another.
However, Zuraida was in agreement that to "freshen" the local political arena, the prime ministerial candidate should be a young person.
"I do not deny that to freshen local politics, there is a need to introduce a young candidate, someone who is millennial and has a tried and tested outlook for reformation."
When asked whether Azmin fit the mould, she replied: "If he fulfils the criteria mentioned, it can be considered."- Mkini
