Amanah Youth vice-chief Shazni Munir Mohd Ithnin has been barred from entry to Sarawak.
Shazni Munir had flown to Sarawak on party business but was told to turn back upon arriving at the Sibu airport this morning. He has boarded a plane to return to Kuala Lumpur.
"As far as I know, this block is a disgusting inheritance from the BN-era which abused its power to stop individuals from entering Sarawak for clearly political reasons," he said in a statement.
"If the Sarawak government, which had apparently left BN, but maintains the same policies and political stances, it is better for them to rejoin BN," he added.
He said that a new Malaysia demanded new political practices, and that hypocrisy should be rejected.
Sarawak has autonomous rights to immigration.
Several Pakatan Harapan leaders, who were barred entry from the state in the past, have since been allowed after becoming part of the government, including Amanah president Mohamad Sabu - who is also the defence minister. - Mkini
Parliament PH MP please propose the same law to prevent Sarawak political members from entering West Malaysia so that they can taste the same medicine.
