Had an interesting lunch just now. It appears that Azmin Ali is set to win the PKR Deputy President's post. Azmin is so strong inside PKR that he even prepared the nomination papers to contest the party presidency. However he has decided to let Anwar become the party president uncontested.
Talk is Azmin Ali shall become the Deputy President of PKR.
Both Wan Azizah and Rafizi Ramli will have no position in the PKR hierarchy - a first time occurence.
However Wan Azizah's position as DPM (in the Cabinet) and Minister of Women's Affairs will not be at risk. Rafizi will be mining big data for sometime.
Playing the 3rd national car issue will NOT be a major factor in the PKR party elections. The boys and girls do not seem to understand that they are already paying the highest car prices in the world. Also the highest prices in the world for chocolates, books, cigars, clothes, shoes and anything else that is imported.
Somehow the 1,2, 3s of economics, business and finance does not jive with the folks too much. They do not understand why things are so expensive. (It is because of over regulation, too many import taxes, restrictions on goods - do you still need a license to carry a bag of rice from Selangor to Perak? - and other unnecessary government restrictions.) In short the outdated "ketuanan policies" are still in place. They have to go.
Back to the PKR talk is Brader Anwar will be engineering a By Election for his Parliamentary seat after the PKR Party elections in September. So his entry into Parliament and his entry into the Cabinet, the chicken coop, the Fire Brigade etc will follow shortly after that.
