Bull zips through traffic on federal highway during 5km chase

Traffic along the Federal Highway from Shah Alam to Subang Jaya came to a crawl as Fire and Rescue Department personnel chased after a bull this afternoon.
During the 5km chase, the bull was seen swerving through vehicles in an attempt to dodge its pursuers who were in a truck.
At one point, fire and rescue personnel were forced to make a U-turn when the animal suddenly turned into the Subang Jaya exit before crossing over to the opposite lane and later, returning to the highway.
The bull was finally caught at a petrol station opposite the Empire Shopping Gallery.
Fire and Rescue Department officer Haizad Morhabas, who led the team of eight personnel from Shah Alam, said they were alerted about the bull running loose in a factory in Section 15, Shah Alam, at about 1.30pm.
However, the animal darted towards the highway when the Fire and Rescue Department truck pulled up at the venue.
A spokesperson for the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department later said the owner laid claim to the bull this evening.
Reporters were told that the fire and rescue personnel waited at the petrol station until the owner showed up with a lorry.
They surrendered the bull to him and returned to their station at 5.30pm. -Mkini
