LRT passengers stuck at SS18 station due to malfunctioning train doors

SUBANG JAYA: Over 40 passengers were stuck at the Kelana Jaya Line's SS18 LRT station for 20 minutes on Wednesday (Aug 22) morning due to malfunctioning doors on a train.

A passenger sustained light injuries when the train came to a sudden stop, and passengers were transferred to a different train at 9.24am.

The malfunctioning train has since been sent for further repairs.

Speaking to The Star, 26-year-old IT service analyst Farah said that such a malfunction has never happened before.

Farah - who was travelling from Puchong Prima to Taman Jaya - said that she was made late by the disruption.

"I should be in the office at 9.30, it is already 9.31am," she said.

A Putra Heights resident who wanted to be known as Vimala said that the incident made her nervous as this was her first time using the LRT.

"I did not expect this to happen," she said.
