Former premier Najib Abdul Razak's lawyer Mohd Hafarizam Harun today objected the presence of four top judges hearing Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Khairuddin Abu Hassan review application of their misfeasance in public office suit involving the ex-PM.
Hafarizam brought this to the attention of a seven-member bench led by Chief Justice Richard Malanjum which is hearing the case.
The other judges which Hafarizam objected to in the panel were Court of Appeal president Ahmad Ma'arop, Chief Judge of Malaya Zaharah Ibrahim and Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak, David Wong Dak Wah.
Hafarizam cited his reason as the appointment of the four judges including Justice Malanjum being made by the Yang Di Pertain Agong on the recommendation of Mahathir as prime minister.
For this reason, Hafarizam applied for the four of them to recuse themselves.
