'Triple A-Team of Anwar-Azmin-Afif the best bet for PKR'

The winning combination of the "Triple A-Team" can lead the party into the future, Youth chief contender Afif Bahardin said today.
"I am confident if we support the dynamic duo, Anwar Ibrahim as president and Azmin Ali as deputy president, and me at the level of Angkatan Muda Keadilan, then PKR will be led by the 'Triple A-Team'."
Afif said this at a press conference after unveiling his lineup of pro-Azmin contenders for the Youth wing, dubbed "Keadilan Masa Depan" (Future Keadilan).
In reaffirming his support for Azmin's candidacy, Afif noted that the incumbent deputy president had proven his leadership skills in various capacities – as former Selangor menteri besar and now a cabinet minister.
"His loyalty to Anwar and (incumbent president) Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail over the past 20 years has also been unwavering.
"So for that reason, I am more confident to offer the best leadership not only for PKR's members, but for all Malaysians.
"This 'Triple A-Team' will be the best team," he said.
Quizzed on the possibilities that he would win the party polls with Azmin losing to Rafizi, Afif said he can only hope that their entire team would win the members' trust.
"But if it turns out that the result is not as we hoped, then I will have the room to make several appointments and take into account all factors in AMK (the youth wing)," he added.
All candidates for central leadership positions – from the president to the wings – submitted their nominations earlier today at the party's headquarters.
Afif will be facing a three-cornered contest against Johor Bahru MP Akmal Nasir, who is aligned to Rafizi, and Kota Anggerik assemblyperson Najwan Halimi, who declared a neutral stance. -Mkini
