PETALING JAYA: The supervisor of a goldsmith shop at a supermarket in Serdang was shot dead by a robber yesterday evening.
The 28-year-old victim was shot in the chest in the 7.13pm incident, Selangor Criminal Investigation Department head Fadzil Ahmat said.
“Based on the closed-circuit television (CCTV) recording at the scene, four robbers arrived at the supermarket compound on two motorcycles.
“Three of the robbers, who were wearing full-face helmets as well as reflective vests, entered the supermarket and headed to the goldsmith shop while another suspect waited outside.
“One of the robbers, unhappy that the supervisor ignored their orders, shot him in the chest,” he told reporters at the scene.
Fadzil said the supervisor, who was from Perak, was with a female staff.
He said the robbers left within two to three minutes with four trays of jewellery.
“An early investigation found that the gunman used a semi-automatic pistol based on the shell found at the scene,” he said. - FMT
