PETALING JAYA: Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (pic) reminds party supporters to observe the law following a viral video of a police car being stopped and searched by what seemed to be Pakatan Harapan supporters.
"Don't take the law into your own hands," said the Home Minister, adding that obstructing public servants from discharging their duties was an offence.
"Police reports have been made following the incident.
"I have left it to the police to investigate and take appropriate action following the laws of the country," he said in a statement on Sunday (April 15).
Earlier, Negri Sembilan acting state police chief Datuk Mohamad Mat Yusop said that the police have detained two of the five men identified for stopping and inspecting the Mobile Patrol Vehicle (MPV) during the Rantau by-election on Saturday (April 13).
He added police are still looking for three others, suspected of being involved in the incident.
A video of the incident has recently gone viral, with many online comments calling for stern action against the culprits.- Star
