3,200 places for Indian, Chinese students for matriculation a ‘one-off’ last year
PETALING JAYA: The education ministry has clarified that the 2,200 places for Indian students and 1,000 places for Chinese in the matriculation programme last year was a “one-off” initiative.
This was based on the needs then and the available slots from the Bumiputera quota which were not filled.
In a statement today, the ministry said for 2019, the matriculation programme quota will continue to be based on a 90:10 basis, with 90% of places going to Bumiputera students and 10% for non-Bumiputeras, based on meritocracy...........
Finally the Education Ministry has clarified.
The ratio adopted is 90 percent Malays and 10 percent non- Malays.
Whatever promised by the previous government is a " matter of the past" and brushed off by claiming "a one-off thing".
Surely non-Malay voters who voted for the Pakatan Harapan must be really regretting.

Instead,the government should take the best students to fill up this allocations.

ReplyDeleteActually some people is right,pekatan won because the people's want to change new regulations to improve the country,so far nothing has been change, its true education cannot involve with political.New government must be fair to everyone just like Singapore, They is so many positions the new government must fit in the right person nomatter what races is it, we work for the country make new Malaysia proud,tell the world Malaysia really Boleh.If a good n clever government there will be foreign investors come in, if government not stable foreigner will afraid of investment, The new government up to now already almost a year the old department officers still around its make no difference especially those bad apples Corruption should act immediately, put them on lock up n freeze their bank ac immediately so they cannot do anything behind like rakyat troubles makers in town, all this r money can be act without money nobody will create any rakyat or troubles.All this should act fast instead of delaying, loosing the public trust Especially government departments services is really horrible last time n now make no difference or improvements.up to now I never hear any one at the public say anything good about the new government.Act now before it's too late.
