ROSMAH & HER PINK DIAMOND GETS SHELLING ON SOCIAL MEDIA – EVEN AS ENRAGED MALAYSIANS CALL FOR DEPUTY MINISTER’S SACKING: ‘YOU THINK WE SO DUMB KE? HOW DO WE KNOW THE PINK DIAMOND IS NOT KEPT FOR HER IN ANOTHER COUNTRY’

SOCIAL media users are back to slamming Rosmah Mansor after it was revealed that there is a money trail linking a pink diamond necklace said to have been bought by the ex-prime minister’s wife to 1Malaysia Development Bhd funds.
They also called for Deputy Finance Minister Amiruddin Hamzah to be sacked for telling the Dewan Rakyat that the wife of a VVIP had not purchased a pink diamond.
Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department Anti-Money Laundering Division chief Khalil Azlan Chik today said the money trail showed that the necklace, worth US$23 million (RM97 million), was bought from a New York-based jeweller.
Those who had believed Rosmah was innocent took to Twitter and Facebook to vent their frustrations.
Mycire @ Malacire said the only thing Rosmah would lose is “some freedom” at Sg Buloh Hotel, referring to Sg Buloh Prison.
Joel Yahya @ joelyahyaiamang retracted his apology, saying: “Uncle @NajibRazak and Auntie Mah got caught cheating again.”
Meanwhile, Firdaus @ firdaus 72 expressed disappointment that his apology to Najib Razak’s wife had been “wasted”.
Le Ajip @ ajipkasa said those who had apologised to Rosmah now have the right to get angry again.
Social media users took aim at Amiruddin, who had said the jewellery was not purchased by the wife of a VVIP, and that it was a sales agent who brought the item, along with other jewellery, into the country to be viewed by the woman in question.
Soma Govin said Amiruddin should be sacked for helping Najib, Rosmah and Ummo spin the story and play the victim ahead of today’s Rantau by-election.
Anbalagan Ramasamy said Rosmah must apologise to the people for lying about her innocence.
Michael Chau, meanwhile, questioned why it had taken police so long to clarify the matter.
“How come the IGP didn’t know (about) this??? How come now (only) tell the public??”
