Word is finally out, going by the reports in the press, that a plot to topple our beloved prime minister has been cooking.
The nation would have almost crashed onto a 'Rulers versus Federal government' disaster minefield.
In fact, it is so frightening to take stock of the chilling fact that if not for the prime minister's eleventh-hour U-turn about the Rome Statute that we would have entered a national crisis mode.
The seriousness of this perilous track clearly can be seen to pulsate from the "Long live our King" pronouncement from a certain corner.
For the love of my beloved nation I make a passionate plea.
There cannot be a 'Rulers versus Federal government' battlefront.
And there cannot be another leader other than Tun Dr Mahathir who can navigate us out of the blinding kleptocracy where our nation is mired in for now.
To mislead, cloak and misrepresent the Rome Statute as a direct or indirect threat to our sovereign status and constitutional monarchy came so very close to depriving us of a leader best suited to fixing the screws on a nation clobbered with corruption.
As one MP said, to the millions who have democratically voted for the leadership of a new government with Tun at the helm, yes, it is a case of "over (our) dead bodies" should the prime minister be dethroned.
No Malaysian who loves this beloved land ever would let our constitutional monarchy be desecrated.
Likewise, none of us will let anyone protect and shield those who have been robbing this nation's future.
I pray the Rulers and Federal government will come to terms and let our prime minister complete his course for the nation's rehabilitation. - Mkini
