Why We Support Mahathir As Prime Minister

The New Economic Policy (that was supposed to have ended in 1990) will continue. Bumiputera quotas in business, education, the civil service, etc., will continue. Islam will still be paramount and untouchable in Malaysia. The monarchy will continue, in spite of Pakatan’s preference to turn Malaysia into a republic. The armed forces will still be in the hands of the Malays and under the Raja-Raja Melayu. In short, whatever was the policy since 1970 will continue into 2020. Fifty years of NO CHANGE!

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Raja Petra Kamarudin
Yesterday, in my article “Let Malaysia burn if necessary”, I pointed out that in politics you need to adopt the strategy of killing with a borrowed knife, using your enemy to defeat your enemy, an enemy of my enemy is my friend, never engage in battle when you are weak, confuse your enemy, divide your enemy, etc. I also said in politics the end justifies the means.
And this is why we support Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. First of all, with Mahathir as Prime Minister, that means Anwar Ibrahim is not the Prime Minister. And the longer Mahathir stays as Prime Minister, the longer Anwar will never become Prime Minister. And if Mahathir stays as Prime Minister long enough, that would mean Anwar may never become Prime Minister ever.

Mahathirism is still here under Pakatan Harapan’s “NEW” Malaysia

So, point number one on why we support Mahathir as Prime Minister.
Point number two. Mahathir will not listen to what other people in Pakatan Harapan want. He will ignore everyone and will do whatever he wants. That means DAP and PKR cannot get their way and PAN will never dare challenge him or say anything even if they are not happy.
Point number three. The Chinese and Indian leaders in Pakatan Harapan will not dare talk too much. They will squeak and whimper just to show their Chinese and Indian voters that they are fighting for Chinese and Indian ‘rights’. But at the end of the day, it will be just a token protest to give an impression they are doing something for the Chinese and Indians.
Mahathir never had any love for the Chinese. He has never forgiven them for kicking him out in 1969 and giving his seat to Yusof Rawa of PAS. He also still carries a grudge for how they treated him when he was in university in Singapore. To Mahathir, the Chinese ‘rampas’ what rightfully belongs to the Malays — meaning Malaysia’s wealth.
In 2013, Mahathir whacked Najib Tun Razak for “giving too much face to the Chinese”. Mahathir said it is the Malays who keep Umno in power so Najib should focus on the Malays and not waste time on the Chinese. The Chinese will never support Umno whatever you may do for them.

Mahathir has never had any love for the Chinese since 1969

Mahathir said the same thing in 1969 (he even wrote about it in his book “The Malay Dilemma”). Mahathir said it again 44 years later in 2013. Do you think Mahathir has changed his view since the last six years when over 44 years, from 1969 to 2013, he did not change his view?
No, Mahathir still has the same view about the Chinese as he has always had over 50 years since 1969. And that is why we need Mahathir as Prime Minister if we want to keep DAP in check. If Anwar becomes Prime Minister, habislah Melayu. Anwar will sell out the Malays just to become the Prime Minister and, without DAP, Anwar can never become the Prime Minister.
More importantly of all, those who voted Pakatan thought they would see changes and reforms under Pakatan Harapan’s “NEW” Malaysia. Maybe (and I say “maybe”) under a different person that might have happened. But under Mahathir there is no way in hell Malaysia is going to see changes or reforms.

With Mahathir as Prime Minister that means Anwar is not Prime Minister

The New Economic Policy (that was supposed to have ended in 1990) will continue. Bumiputera quotas in business, education, the civil service, etc., will continue. Islam will still be paramount and untouchable in Malaysia. The monarchy will continue, in spite of Pakatan’s preference to turn Malaysia into a republic. The armed forces will still be in the hands of the Malays and under the Raja-Raja Melayu. In short, whatever was the policy since 1970 will continue into 2020. Fifty years of NO CHANGE!
Cronyism, nepotism, privatisation, Mahathirism, corruption, abuse of power, political patronage, etc., will continue. The only difference is the players are now from Pakatan Harapan and not from Barisan Nasional. Armistice and immunity from prosecution will be given to all those who committed crimes under the old government and now cross over to the new government.
Yes, do I need to go on as to why we support Mahathir as Prime Minister?
