KUALA LUMPUR: PPBM president Muhyiddin Yassin has called for drastic changes in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government following the coalition’s loss in the Tanjung Piai by-election last Saturday.
He said change must be made immediately if PH wishes to remain in power for more than one term.
“Major drastic changes have to happen in many areas, including implementation, budgetary policy, fiscal policy and leadership,” he told reporters in Parliament today.
The by-election on Nov 16 saw Barisan Nasional’s Wee Jeck Seng recapturing the seat he lost in the May 9 polls last year, winning the six-cornered fight by more than 15,000 votes against PH’s Karmaine Sardini, Wendy Subramaniam (Gerakan), Badhrulhisham Abdul Aziz (Berjasa) and independents Faridah Aryani Abd Ghaffar and Ang Chuan Lock. - FMT
