PETALING JAYA: The price of RON97 petrol will go down by 4 sen to RM2.66 per litre from midnight until Nov 29.
The price of RON95 remains unchanged at RM2.08 per litre and diesel at RM2.18 per litre.
The government has capped the price of RON95 and diesel to stabilise fuel prices and to reduce the people’s cost of living.
In a statement today, the finance ministry said without subsidies, the price for RON95 and diesel should be RM2.36 and RM2.27, respectively, under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM).
This subsidy is expected to cost the government RM111.56 million for the one-week period. - FMT
