TG PIAI POLLS | Amanah deputy president Salahuddin Ayub said he is ready to cooperate with the police over the probe into his speech in Tanjung Piai which was accused to contain racist elements.
“I have not received anything so far. It is up to the police.
“I will wait to see if they need any statement from me, I have no issues with that,” the agriculture and agro-based industry minister told reporters in Parliament today.
Salahuddin reiterated that he does not think his speech contained any racist element.
The police had yesterday said they might call in Salahuddin for questioning over a viral video of his speech.
This came after members of Wanita BN lodged a police report against the speech.
Salahuddin has been accused of making racist comments in his speech during a closed-door meeting with Chinese school officials in Kukup Laut when he warned them of the threat posed by the Umno-PAS alliance.
He was there during the campaigning for the Tanjung Piai by-election. - mkini
