Rosmah: I don't know, I have nothing to say

Rosmah Mansor sidestepped questions on the purported telephone conversation with her husband, former premier Najib Abdul Razak in 2016, which has made headlines.
Asked if the conversation took place, she replied: “I don't know.”
To another question if she would sue MACC for revealing the recording, she said: “I have nothing to say.”
Earlier today, MACC disclosed several recordings, which the commission claimed it received earlier this month from anonymous sources.

Among them was Najib's telephone conversations with former MACC chief Dzulkifli Ahmad and United Arab Emirates (UAE) crown prince Mohammed Zayed Al Nahyan with regard to the 1MDB scandal.
MACC also confirmed that the recordings were authentic and forensics tests showed that there was no tampering. All the conversations took place between January and July 2016.
Meanwhile, Rosmah, when met at the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex this afternoon, said her lawyers are looking into the matter.
“My lawyers will take care of it. My lawyers are looking into it and they will take care of it,” she added.
'Can I advise you on something?'
In her conversation with Najib, an irate Rosmah had urged him to take charge and chided him for appearing like a “villain”.
At one point, she was heard shouting: “Can I advise you on something?”
Detractors had often accused Rosmah of meddling in government affairs when her husband was in power.
Deepak Jaikishan, a former close friend of the couple, who has since been embroiled in legal tussles with them, had told Al Jazeera in an interview in May last year that Rosmah was the “de facto prime minister” prior to the last general election.
A year earlier, Rosmah, when speaking at an event in Najib's parliamentary constituency of Pekan in Pahang, denied she had Najib wrapped around her finger.
“I want to tell you, I have never interfered with his business, especially those relating to the government. I don’t understand why people still connect me with my husband’s duties.
“All sorts of stories, people have been talking about me, until people are scared of me. Just look at YouTube, all kinds of defamation are hurled at me, that’s all they do...
“Don’t think I control him, my job is to take care of my husband and family but people don’t know my husband is dedicated... my husband takes care of the people even more, especially the people in Pekan.
“I take care of my household, my husband thinks more of the people’s problem,” she said.
Two days after the event, BN was defeated in the May 9, 2018 general election. Now both Najib and Rosmah are facing a plethora of corruption cases.
