Pathology tests on urine samples obtained from Dengkil assemblyperson Adhif Syan Abdullah and several others who were present at a Puchong condominium in January have come out negative.
Bukit Aman Narcotics CID director Ramli Din confirmed this with Malaysiakini today.
"The result of the urine tests on the assemblyperson and several others are negative.
"Some were (tested) positive but the Attorney-General's Chambers has decided that they will not be charged.
"Hence, all cases are 'NFA' (No Further Action)," he said.
In January, a total of 17 people were arrested during the alleged drug bust, including the Bersatu assemblyperson, Adhif.
Then federal Narcotic Crimes Investigation Department director Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd said even if an initial drug test conducted by police returned positive, they would still need the pathology test results for confirmation.
Police had previously said that 16 out of 17 people detained at the condominium had tested positive for drugs.
Adhif (above) had initially denied he was arrested but later said he was "at the wrong place and at the wrong time".
Last week, Adhif and three other Selangor Bersatu assemblypersons pledged their support for the state Pakatan Harapan. - Mkini
