Pakatan Harapan and Dr Mahathir Mohamad's loyalist in Bersatu are holding briefing sessions nationwide to explain last week's political coup.
The Opposition parties will explain to their grassroots and supporters while pushing for an urgent Dewan Rakyat sitting to see who commands the majority in the House.
The parties and their top leaders have since been operating below the radar while waiting for a Parliament sitting to be called.
The media has not been privy to any of the planned events or meetings since Muhyiddin Yassin was sworn in as prime minister on Sunday.
Speaking to Malaysiakini, the Harapan parties said they are conducting briefings nationwide to explain the sequence of events to their supporters.
Meanwhile, Bersatu Youth Information chief Ulya Aqamah Husamudin said the faction in support of Mahathir would also conduct similar briefings.
Mahathir met Bersatu division leaders in Kuala Lumpur yesterday to explain what had transpired, he said.
"It was a closed-door event and he (Mahathir) explained what had happened," Ulya Aqamah said, adding that the Youth wing would organise a briefing in Kedah soon.
Meanwhile, DAP chairperson Tan Kok Wai said DAP will hold a briefing in Johor tomorrow and party secretary-general Lim Guan Eng will be in attendance.
"This is needed to explain what had happened and to motivate them (the grassroots and supporters)," he said.
PKR treasurer Lee Chean Chung said the party has been explaining to the grassroots via social media and a scheduled briefing would be conducted soon.
"We will explain what had transpired in the past week as some members are still confused as to what had happened.
"We will also convey that we are holding to our stand in upholding multiracial politics," said the Semambu state assemblyperson.
"In my case, I am doing it at the Indera Mahkota parliamentary seat in Pahang, which is held by the 'traitor' Saifuddin Abdullah," said Lee.
Semambu and Beserah state constituencies are within the Indera Mahkota parliamentary constituency.
