PETALING JAYA: A long queue of cars and people was seen at a health clinic in Titiwangsa, waiting for their turn to be tested by medical personnel in protective suits.
The people, several of whom were dressed in religious attire, were believed to be those turning up to be tested after coming into contact with participants of the tabligh gathering at the Sri Petaling mosque.
While some approached the clinic on foot, others could be seen waiting in their cars. According to a medical worker at the clinic, the group of people had turned up to be tested for Covid-19 after coming into contact with those taking part in the gathering.
Attempts to confirm the matter with the Health Ministry were futile at press time yesterday.
The government had called on everyone who attended the gathering held last month to voluntarily come forward for Covid-19 screening. - Star
