Former Perak DAP assemblypersons Paul Yong and A Sivasubramaniam have made a baseless accusation against the Perak chapter of the party, says the Perak DAP secretary Wong Kah Woh.
"Their accusation against Perak DAP and its leadership in a media conference yesterday is baseless and viewed as a reckless attempt to justify their exit from the party," said Wong (photo).
Yesterday, Yong, who is a Tronoh assemblyperson, claimed that Perak DAP leaders Ngeh Koo Ham and Nga Kor Ming were responsible for cybertrooper attacks on his Facebook page.
Yong also claimed that Nga and Ngeh attempted to hold a rally against him but their plans failed.
He labelled the duo as "dictators" and justified his reason for leaving DAP as a sign of protest against the two.
Meanwhile, Wong reminded Yong and Sivasubramaniam that they had won on the ticket of Pakatan Harapan and DAP.
"The people's trust (in the party) is clear which is to reject the kleptocracy BN government at that time.
"It's not for them to continue working together with the former Perak menteri besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu who had announced the forming of the Perikatan Nasional government alongside BN.
"Whatever their excuses and justifications are, their (Yong and Sivasubramaniam) actions are part of the forming of PN which has brought down the Perak Harapan state government," said Wong.
Wong stressed that Perak DAP will not disappoint the people and continue to strive under Ngeh and Nga.
He also reminded the leaders that it's the responsibility of all excos and assemblypersons to fulfil the promises made to the people.
"The four parties in Harapan had pledged to fulfil the manifesto including giving permanent land ownership to Felda settlers and execute the rural village plan," he said. - Mkini
